Juventus Consider Swoop For Roma's Miralem Pjanic

Juventus are considering a surprise summer bid for Roma midfielder Miralem Pjanic.

The two clubs seem poised to challenge each other for the Scudetto next season, at which point the Bianconeri may find themselves able to call upon one of the Giallorossi’s greatest weapons in recent seasons.

According to Tuttosport, Juve coach Massimiliano Allegri and director general Giuseppe Marotta have agreed on the necessity to further strengthen the midfield and consider the Bosnian playmaker as a primary target.

Roma are likely to make one significant sale in order to comply with UEFA’s Financial Fair Play parameters and it seems increasingly likely that the sacrifice will be made in the midfield, with either Pjanic or Radja Nainggolan ultimately making way.

Between the two leaders, Lupi management would prefer to sell Pjanic for a figure somewhere in the region of €40 million.
