Diego Costa to leave Chelsea for Atletico

Diego Costa is ready to leave Chelsea and return to Spain - and potentially Atletico Madrid - if an agreement can be reached, according to Spanish newspaper AS.

The former Atleti striker is still having problems integrating with his Stamford Bridge team-mates and is unhappy about the way he is treated by the English media.

The Blues are intent on keeping the Spain international for next season, though, despite stepping up their chase for Napoli forward Gonzalo Higuain.

The 27-year-old has been hit by a string of injury problems and disciplinary matters since arriving at the club in 2014 but has still managed to score 36 goals in 75 games.
